Last Monday for Family home evening we went out to visit Grandpa Summers in Orem. Daddy got called out on a roof leak at University Mall, so since we were all down there the kids and I decided to hang out and do a little window shopping... .which by the way, isn't too much fun with two small children and no stroller.... a good work-out though!Sadie has been wanting to get her ears pierced, so while we were there I asked her if she wanted to get them done. She said "yes mom. I want pretty earrings, like you." I explained that it would hurt a little bit... half expecting her to chicken out, but she was set on it. So we waited for Daddy to finish and then we went to get Sadie's princess earrings!
Sadie watched the lady in front of us get her ears pierced then she jumped right up in the chair. They pierced the first ear and she jumped a little, but no tears! Then the lady said, "Are you ready for the other ear?" Andy and I were positive she wouldn't be up for that... but, she just said "I'm ready!" they pierced the other side. We left and she has been great with them ever since. She was so excited to call everyone and tell them, "I got my ears plearced!" The lady at the store said she hadn't seen anyone twice Sadie's age leave without crying! I am quite sure her toughness is a trait she did not inherit from her Mom. I can't wait until we can take her studs out and start some fun earring shopping! It's so fun to have a little girl! Well, that's the end of this epistle.... Love to all!

So cute!! Congrats Sadie on getting your ears pierced! I'm impressed she did so well. I have already been debating when to do Brooklyn's. I was wondering if earlier would be better because they aren't are aware, but maybe not! Way to go girl!!
Berlynn says that she loves Sadies "earlings". They are so cute. I seriously can't believe that she didn't even cry. Good Job Sadie!
Hi Tiffany...I saw your blog link on Jana's blog! It is so cute! That is so great that she did so good about it! I am a wimp, and when I was 8, it hurt!! I was going to tell you how cute she looked last sunday at church! (30th) It is amazing how big are kids are getting!

Tiff, She is very set on what she wants it sounds like and I admire that! She looks so cute with her ears pierced! I took all of my girls when they were very young! They didn't know the difference. I think we took Gracie to get hers at about a year. Right Brooke?
