We had a blast in Mexico, the kids loved it, we loved it... and hopefully Nan and Pa, Uncle Brad and Aunt Lindy will travel with us again! The kids did great on the drive to Vegas and on the plane! We did a lot of sitting, and they were troopers! It always helps when Nan brings a bag of "secret weapons!"

The first day we were there Nan and Pa watched the kids while the big kids went on a day excursion. It was incredible. We did a Mayan Encounter tour. We started the day by going to the Coba ruins, climbing to the top of an unbelievable ruin. Then we swam in a sacred Mayan cenote. We started getting a little frustrated because we thought our guide was taking us on a walk through the jungle/woods to kill some time, but we were really hiking to the cenote. It was almost completely enclosed, there was only a gap big enough to crawl through. The water was beautiful and so clear! Then we went kayaking... nothing too exciting. Had an incredible, authentic dinner and then finished the day up with repelling and a zip line. We all had a blast and I was very proud of myself for overcoming my fear of heights!

One day we went to Chichen Itza, which was also amazing. It is so incredible to see how much knowledge the Mayan people had so long ago. I wish we could have had an LDS tour guide, I think that would have made it even neater, but it is still so remarkable!

We went on a boat ride and saw manatee's, rented little speed boats and went snorkeling, played at the beach, did some shopping, and played in the pool.
Sadie loved the swimming pool... and it was even salt water! She got so brave. She would jump in the pool by herself... with her floaties of course. Dunk her head under the water and she couldn't figure out why I needed to plug my nose. "It's easy mom, see." How do you feel now, Mom? I'm being shown up by my three year old! Needless to say... swimming lessons here we come!

Easton took a little while to warm up to the idea of the pool. He was kind of dumbfounded with the entire thing. By the end of the trip, though we had him laughing and splashing along with his sister. He loved playing on the beach and didn't even care that he got sand all over his face... well, until it came time to wash it off.

All right... I guess I better bring my epistle to an end... but, before I do I want to tell my Husband thank you for the beautiful bouquet of flowers that were delivered to our room and my spa appt. for Mother's Day... He is so thoughtful...... And to my Mom and Dad, Thank you so much for taking us on a great vacation! We will always cherish the memories that we made! I Love You!!
