When it came to potty training Sadie, I was all for it at 18 months. She did great... but, it took quite a while for us to get totally accident free, like months. I decided that I was going to wait until Easton was a little older, in hopes that the process wouldn't last as long.
But, then......
Easton came and got me yesterday and took me to the potty. I helped him on and..... Ta Da! He went, #2. (TMI, I know!) I figured it was just a coincidence. Then today he did the same thing, and... Ta Da! He went, #1!
So now the dilema is... should I run with it, and assume his is a super smart boy! (Which of course we already knew!) or, should I just let him go when he wants to and hold off a little longer.....
That is the question of the hour!

Go with it.. just realize that if he isn't ready you can still wait a little while. that's how Jake was.. but you need to encourage when they give signs that they are ready.
Your kids are little smarties! It amazes me all of the time how quick they are to do things! little jakob found interest early too but He is just barely potty trained for real...maybe 3 months now. I would just go with what you think is best. Little Jakob kept going in his diaper as long as we kept it on him. Once we took that totally out and it was cold turkey ...he was done. No accidents. Good luck! Easton is such a bright kid!
Awesome!! I personally think it's so much easier for them to just let you know, instead of trying to force it, ya know?!?!
i say go with it!!!! They always say when they are ready they will let you know! I say try it!
Boy do I wish I had great potty training advice - that would mean I had figured it out! Cameron started it by himself, showed all the signs of readiness, and now 9 months later is back in diapers all the time. :( Just do what you think is best and roll with the punches. Hope it goes well!
