As you may have read on the rest of the Moosman girl's blogs... we got together on Monday night and made these cute Christmas Countdown muffin Tin's! It was great to have a girl's night and they all turned out super cute! The numbers are magnetic, so you take off the cover and hide a little treat under each one.... money, candy.... or secret notes. Since we already have two Christmas Countdown's for the kids.... I decided to make our's for Andy and I. I hid little notes in each one that say... 1/2 hour free XBox, or exchange foot massages.... :) Obviously, we aren't too far, but I think it will add a little fun to the Christmas countdown for Mommy and Daddy too!
This is Sadie's very own Christmas Countdown that is in her room! The first thing she does in the morning is first, run to look for Elfy (see below) and then mark both of the Advent Calenders! We had to cheat and move baby Jesus to the day the Twelve days of Christmas Starts... I couldn't stand hearing... "is it today, Mom?" for the next two weeks!
This is the incredible Advent Calender that Grandma and Grandpa Moosman made for the entire family! My kids love it, we hang it on our coat closet in the living room so we can see it everyday!
This... is Elfy. Elfy is a magic Elf that came to us with a book. The book explains all about how Elfy is a magic elf who sits on a shelf to watch and see who's being naughty and nice! Each night when the kids go to sleep Elfy flies to the North Pole to report to Santa. In the morning he has found a new hiding place were he can watch for a new day. You can't touch Elfy, or he looses his magic...... but you can tell him all the secrets you want! Sadie loves him! I seriously sat and answered questions about him for 45 minutes straight. "If he is an Elf why does he look like a doll?" "Where are his feet?" "Can he climb Christmas trees" "Is he a real Elf" "Does Elfy want to Watch a movie with me?" In the end we watched Toy Story so that Sadie could see why Elfy pretends to be a doll when she is watching...I love this time of year and everything that comes with it! I can't wait for Christmas.... but, I am always sad to see it go! Merry Christmas to all!

Tiff, what a fun blog to read! all your posts made me laugh and remember the questions of a little child. The snow, the advent calendars, the whos child is this, helping with the tree, all of it is great! Thanks.

I seriously love the elf! What a great idea especially when you have little ones. So cute that Sadie asks you all sorts of questions about elfy, what smart little brains they have!
