Aunt Lindy Look....

On Tuesday Sadie's Preschool class took a field trip to a dentist's office. I was so impressed and Sadie loved it! We played Dentist ALL day! It was a pediatric dentist so everything was catered to kids. The walls were painted like a castle, there was a big play room filled with toys, there were stuffed animals everywhere, stuff hanging from the ceiling, and really pretty twinkling lights that looked like a night sky in the hallways. I'm considering pretending to be a child just so I can go there to get my teeth cleaned!


The did a great job with the kids. They started out by showing them a cartoon with a little plaque man character. It was pretty cute and it held all of their attentions the entire video. Then they took us all back to a big open room with chairs. They gave all the kids masks and gloves and then let them take turns playing dentist and patient. They got to use the little mirror to look at the teeth and push the button to make the chair go up and down.

It was pretty funny, because some of the kids didn't want to take a turn being the patient.... not Sadie! She volunteered every time she got a chance. She even hopped right into the chair to demonstrate how they take X-rays. I do have to say, I was a little embarassed when she raised her hand and said, " Sometimes I forget to brush my teeth!" Thanks for pointing that out Sades.... We will be trying very hard to remember to brush our teeth form now on!
