Cousins....

On Superbowl Sunday we went to my Grandma Gale's house to celebrate the families January birthdays. It's always fun to get together with all the family and Sadie and Easton just love having all of their cousins there to play with them!

Growing up I guess you could say that I had the best of both worlds.... on my Mom's side my brother and I didn't have any cousins. As you can imagine, that meant that the world pretty much revolved around Brad and I, as far as Nana and Papa were concerned. We loved to spend time with them and thoroughly enjoyed soaking up all the attention we got when they were around.

On my Dad's side however, we did have cousins and had a blast playing with them! I didn't have any girl cousins my age and so I always played with my two older, girl cousins.... Charlsie and Karlie. Being the oldest of two children, I loved being with Karlie and Charlsie because in many ways they were like big sisters to me!

Throughout different times of my life I have been extremely close to both of them. I have shared secrets with them, gotten tons of advice from them, and gone through both hard and happy times with them! They have always been there for me when I needed a friend. I truly am grateful for the influence they both have had in my life.

This weekend while we were at Grandma's Karlie and I remembered time capsules that we wrote and hid in Grandma's house. We decided to go looking for them and were very suprized to find them still there and intact. We had a few laughs as we read over what we had written twelve years ago. I wanted to keep the information I had written, so in an attempt to do that without so much.... stuff.... I am going to write it all in my blog.

Today I am 14 years old. Karlie is 17 years old. Karlie and I have been reading about our ancestors and we decided to make this time capsule. Lately, I think Karlie and I have kind of gotten closer. I mean, we have always been close, but now we tell each other secrets and I know if I tell her something she won't laugh. She'll just support me and try her best to help me with my problems and give me all her good advise. The little girls, Darcie, Marcie, and Linzy (Lyndsie) are so cute and young. They want us to play with them non-stop. I remember when I used to just beg Charlsie and Karlie to come and play because sitting and listening to the grown-ups talk is WAY boring, now it's the same way only with Darcie and Marcie. Today we played barbies with them. I thought I would always love barbies, but I guess I finally did grow out of them. We played Girl Talk, only with our own dares made up suited right for each little girl. They are so innocent. I miss being like that.

To My Future Husband-
I know that you will be perfect no matter who you are. Whether I've know you since I was young or just plan to meet you in the future. I know that we will live a happy and successful life together. I hope that you would be an Eagle Scout and a return Missionary (hey, one out of two ain't bad!) Most of all, what's a great deal important to me, though, is that we get married at the right time, by the right authority, in the right place. I will love you always and do my best to stand by you and be faithful.

Love Always,

Tiffany

I'm so glad we finally found those letters and read them! Thanks for being those most awesome cousin, and being like a sister to me too. The three of us always had a lot of fun, and I really do treasure those memories of growing up together. Love you much!!!

Tiff, this was such a fun post for me to read. I think at 14 I was never that grown up. This is very cute. I know this blog that the mother posted it and the kids made a book out of all the posts. there is a company that will do it. all of this would be fun to have in a book but I just love the blogs anyway! And you are quite CRAFTY! I would buy some of those from you if you wanted to make some for me? :)
