The Sportsman's Expo..

Andy had a Trials meeting to go to on Saturday... so the kids and I went to the Sportman's Expo with Nan and Pa, and Uncle Brad and Aunt Lindy! It was a lot of fun. The kids really liked seeing the water dogs. They had a thing set up for the dogs to see how far they could jump out into the water. It really was fun to watch! Sadie was thoroughly convinced that she needed to go straight home and teach Maly and Bear how to do it.... well, as soon as she finishes her swimming lessons!
After we watched the dogs we walked around the kids corner and let the kids do some of the activities. They put the kids in a row boat on tubes and bounced them around to teach them about water safety. Sadie had fun.. Easton started out having fun until he was launched off his seat... then he decided to abandon ship! Next was guess the animal from the fur. Sadie impressed the man at the booth when she guessed the bear skin right. Then the kids got measured against animals heights and Sadie found out she is the same height as a deer!
There was a fishing pond set up and Sadie was very excited to use a big net and catch a fish... but, the line was super long and we just weren't up to waiting in line for an hour to fish for ten minutes! Luckily she was easily persuaded with face paint. The last part of the kids area was archery and face painting. Sadie loved the archery. She did pretty well too! Easton was too little for the archery but he did get his face painted. He wasn't sure about it at first... but in the end he liked it.

Feeling the fur.

Checking out all the cool deer!

Sadie... safety first!

This is how either Sadie or Easton spent most of the time at the expo... either here, on Pa's shoulder's or being held by Nan or Aunt Lindy. Why is it that when you get around family suddenly your kids forget how to walk!?

Sadie was a little disappointed that there wasn't any cotton there. (aka cotton candy) But she was very impressed with the man jump roping... aka fly fishing.

Thanks Nan and Pa for a fun outing... and thanks for all the help with the kids!
