Appreciation.....

We all have our days.... good and bad. Yesterday happened to be one of my "bad" days. Things just seemed to being going wrong and I had a case of the gloomy blues. I needed a break, and some time to perk myself back up, but I didn't even know what I wanted to do.

Since the day had not worked out the way I had planned I still needed to make a trip to the Grocery store when Andy got home. So I handed Andy a box of Mac N' Cheese and headed to the store.

I came home to find the kids fed and the kitchen cleaned! Andy gave me a big hug, told me to go relax and watch T.V. while I ate my dinner. Then he entertained the kids.... until BEDTIME! He also wrote me a cute little note of things I could choose to do.... watch a movie, take a bath, play games, etc. I chose to have him teach me how to use my new-hand-me-down IPod.

I am so grateful to have such a sweet, thoughtful husband. I know I truly am lucky to have such a sensitive and caring husband... not to mention funny and manly! Thanks so much for making me feel better! I love you!

Mommy: Sadie, remember you get, what you get and you don't throw a fit.
Sadie: Mommy, don't you mean: you get what you want and you don't throw a fit.

Today as we were waiting for Sadie to come out of preschool Easton and I were sitting on the grass in the parkway in front of Mrs. Janet's house. Easton was so excited to find a potato bug in the gutter. He was very excited, until he noticed that the bug was heading into the road.
Easton: Bug! Cars! No!
He was worried the bug was going to get hit by a car.... he calmed down a bit, when he noticed that the bug walked right under it with no problem.... hopefully this doesn't present problems in the future.... he might not fit under quite so easily!

What fun kids are!

Sorry you had such a bad day... sometimes all we need is just to have our husbands say, "take a break", and everything seems better! Glad the day ended well!

What a cute story about the bug. :) And you are lucky to have a kind and sensetive husband that is concerned and aware of your needs. Love reading your blog. Tara

In all our years of "don't throw a fit" talk with the boys - they sure weren't smart enough to throw that one back at us - TOO FUNNY! Go Sadie! Fun stuff kids are!
