Some cute kids....

Sadie has been learning SO much at preschool. I love to hear what she has learned each day. For President's day she learned about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. She can tell you all about the story of the Cherry Tree and how George Washington told the truth to his dadddy when he asked him if he cut down his tree. In case you are wondering... Sadie says that's why he didn't get in trouble, he told the truth.

She can also tell you the story of how some people didn't like Abraham Lincoln's kind words... then she will most definately proceed to tell you the story of his assasination. Beware... it does get a little morbid when she makes faces to add animation.

She can see a little song about Martin Luther King and his dream, dream, dream. Her latest "fun" bit of information was when they studied the letter "U." They learned all about Utah. Sadie was quick to show me her picture of a Seagull eating a cricket and then proceeded to tell me about how the cricket's were getting into some people's fridges and eating all of their food.... although, she wasn't sure how they did it, because obviously they don't have any arms! Then, the people prayed for birds and Heavenly Father sent the birds and they ate all the mean crickets.

Now tell me... what other preschool can I send my kids to where they will come home with information that to be honest, Mommy has forgotten she know!? Two thumbs up to Mrs. Janet! aka... Aunt Janet!

Easton has changed so much in the last couple of weeks. He is talking like crazy, saying "hi" to everyone in the store, and still loving his trucks and tools! It is so cute to hear him talk because he changes his Tone of Voice depending on what he says. Some words are super high and squeeky and other are deep and gruff. He calls Sadie, Yadie and he calls Nan, Nanny.

The other night when I put him to bed he kept saying, "Mommy, raff please." I could not figure out what he wanted... after about 4 times of him asking I took a wild stab in the dark..."giraffe?" "Ya, Mommy, raff." Oh.... he wanted to sleep with his giraffes!

When my brother and I were younger my Dad used to love to tease us. He always did this one thing that sounds strange.. and well, it probably is! He would use this deep, scruffy voice and Say, "MELON!" then he would chase us around the house trying to squeeze our heads. Yes... it does sound strange! Anyway, my kids think it is hilarious! They love it and run and squeel...it's extremely fun when Pa decides to do it at the restaurant... thanks for the help dad! J/K! Well, this is Easton's latest thing. He runs through the house saying, "MELON" and then tries to squeeze everyone's head! It is hilarious!

And last, but certainly not least.... Easton no longer has his "B!" Hooray! It was so easy... I wish I would have done it sooner! Andy wanted to do it cold turkey... but I knew that would be way too hard on Easton and Mommy! So instead I took all of his binkies and punctured a little hole in the very end. The first night he went to bed he asked for his "B" just like always. So I gave him one. He said, "Broken, Mommy." So we tried another and.....funny it was broken too. So we let him keep them with him in bed, laying on his pillow and that was it! He has only asked for them once since then and then he tries it and changes his mind!

When I took Easton for his 2 year he was in the 75% for his weight and the 65% for his height. This was a pretty big accomplishment considering at 18 months he was only in the 12% and 16%. My big boy is really getting big! He has been having some problems with his ears though, so we have an appointment with an ENT at Primary's this week. I am anxious to hear what they have to say....

They really are cute kids! They are growing up so fast! I'm impressed with all the fun stuff Sadie is learning and way to go on getting rid of the "B"! Too bad I can't just poke a hole in Cameron's thumb! :)
