Powder Mountain....

We spent ALL day Saturday at Andy's trials meet at Powder Mountain. I say ALL day, because it lasted quite a bit longer than they usually do.... but, it was still a lot of fun. There were literally wildflowers every where you looked. On the drive back there was one gigantic field just totally filled with big yellow flowers... I took pictures, but they just don't do it justice.

Two young men that Andy taught in Scouts came with us.... Brad and Tyler. They were so much help and the kids ABSOLUTELY loved having them there. They were so cute with the kids. The sections ended up being quite far apart and we weren't supposed to take the Rhino off the trails, so we ended up doing a lot of walking... by "we" I mean Tyler, Brad, and Myself. Sadie and Easton on the other hand spent most of the day on the boys shoulders! Tyler said while he was walking with Sadie on his shoulders he took a deep breath and Sadie said, "We are getting really tired, aren't we?" (well, one of them was!) I was really glad to have them there, otherwise we probably would have spent a lot of time just sitting and waiting, because I definately couldn't have gotten two kids were we went by myself!


I am so impressed with these two young men. They were so helpful and respectful. I never even had to ask them to help. They would just gather up the kids and their stuff and go to the next spot. There mother's should be very proud of them. They are welcome to join our family anytime... great examples for my kids.

I think Sadie had a little crush on Tyler.... she wanted to follow him everywhere. One time I told her she needed to wait by me. She said, "But, Mom he is just so beautiful!".... "I mean handsome!"

The kids had a lot of fun playing in the dirt... and by playing in the dirt I mean getting extremely dirty!

Sadie insisted on having Tyler hold her in the Rhino, and on the way back to the car she fell asleep holding onto her hat..... so Tyler put her in the car and buckled her up. When I got into the car she was awake with a huge grin on her face. "Mommy, Tyler put me in my carseat when I was sleeping."

At Church the next day Sadie was so excited to go and find Tyler and Brad.... you guys better watch out... you may have made a friend for life!
