Oh, my kiddies.....

Sadie May.....

Sadie is such a fun girl! She constantly makes me laugh. Sometimes she also makes me want to pull my hair out.... it honestly scares me sometimes how much she is like me..... (my poor parents!) She absolutely loves to be in the spotlight. She loves to put on shows and have everyone's FULL attention.

She is SO excited to have "her" baby "in" Christmas time, and has assured me that she will help me with everything. She has a carefully worked out plan for if Easton and the new baby are stinky at the same time... "You can change Easton, and I will change the new baby." Then Easton interjects, "Me, help too!" So Sadie thoughtfully gave Easton the job of tickling the baby to keep him busy while she changes his diaper. "That, way Daddy won't even have to come home, Mom!" (As a side note: Everyone please pray that Easton is potty trained by the time the baby comes... that is truly the goal!)

Sadie has been very helpful around the house lately. A couple of days ago I wasn't feeling well so I was resting on the couch. Sadie came up to me and said, "Mommy, how can I help. Should I mop the floor, do the dishes, or the laundry?" So, after careful consideration as to which job would require the least amount of clean-up work for myself afterwards we opted for moping.... with a squirt bottle. I figured after that she would be done helping, but she continued all the way through the dishes and the laundry. After she had been downstairs doing the laundry for a few minutes I decided I better check to make sure we didn't end up with bubbles everywhere or who knows what else. When I went down stairs it was so sweet to see Sadie. She had pulled a folding chair over to the washer and was practically completely inside it retrieving wet clothes and carefully depositing them to the top of the dryer. On a closer inspection I noticed she had also have emptied the dryer onto the table and was ready to reload the washer, before it was empty. Since then she has continued to be very helpful around the house and I couldn't be prouder of her. Today she asked to do the dishes, and when I said she could she was so excited! "Mom, I am doing the dishes for you so you can just take it easy!" What a sweet girl!

After a particularly rough day I started to say, "Sadie, just a minute. Mommy needs......" When I was cut off mid sentence. Before I could react to her interuption I heard. "two double A batteries?" I just burst out laughing..... no, I didn't need any batteries.... but that is the reason most of our toys don't work properly.... maybe she could tell I wasn't functioning fully!

I love that Sadie says "Someping" instead of "Something"

I love that she calls store "isles" "islands"

Pretty much I just totally Love my Princess!

Easton Andrew.....

Easton is a joy, a pleasure, and a bit of a handful! Eventhough, at times he can get into the most mischief it is NEARLY impossible to punish him because he follows it up so quickly with a "Sowry, Mommy," with those big baby blues! Easton is such a polite little boy. He is so good to remember to say please and thank you. He is VERY thoughtful. He always offers to share his treats with his family.... even when I got him a special treat to have because he had to stay home while Sadie went to a birthday party... he brought in the last of his treat and said, "these ones for Sadie, Mommy."

Since he had his tubes put in he is so much more vocal.... I find myself reminding him to be quiet what seems like every hour! He loves to play and laugh and seems to have a naturally loud voice. He has also become very sensitive to quiet sounds. A couple of weeks after his surgery Andy was walking with him outside by a bush when he heard some crickets, "Noise, daddy?" "Those are crickets." "Oh, eat me?" "No, the crickets won't eat you." "Bite me?" "No the crickets won't bite you." "Oh, okay."

Easton has learned how to do somersaults, and he can now pedal his bike.

Easton is a little tricky to understand at times and so he frequently has to repeat himself. The other day he was trying to get Andy to understand him and I burst out laughing when he started to act what he was saying out. "Wa! Wa!" rubbing his eyes.... He was trying to say the baby is crying! My mom bought the kids some bubble gum at the store and Easton was SO excited about it. He carried it with him all day long, everywhere we went. BUT, he calls his "gum" "bum." "Mommy, my "bum" sit right here." So then I tried to get him to pronounce his G. "Ggg Ggg Ggg Gum!" Easton: "Ggg Ggg Ggg Bum!"

There is nothing better than to have Easton be walking with his hand in yours or to be holding him and have him give you a squeeze out of the blue and say, "Mommy, mine friend!"

The boy pretty much melts my heart!

Sadie seems like such a great helper! Carson is the same way!! Isn't it nice? (As long as it is still helpful and not just creating a bigger mess!) Let's just hope they continue to be that helpful when they are teenagers! Your kids are adorable!!! Thanks for sharing such sweet things about them!!
