We went shopping for a little while and then we made a trip to the library. As sad as it is to say we haven't had library cards, so we got all signed up. The kids had a blast picking out some books and a couple of movies.... I didn't realize how nice the library is!
Then we started our "BACKWARDS FUN NIGHT!"
We started out by getting some Dessert before dinner. We stopped at A&W for an ice cream cone... which were gigantic by the way. We had a ice cream picnic on the grass.... the kids thought it was great fun, but really it was just Mommy and Daddy's attempt to keep the mess to a minimum.
Then since we usually do our reading before bed, we decided to mix it up and read all of our library books before we got into our PJ's....
Keeping with the backwards experience... we had yummy breakfast for Dinner!
Sadie's first Primary Program was on Sunday, so we decided to try putting her hair up in Sponge curlers for the first time. After some fun in the tub, we put in our movie and Mommy went to work on the curlers and painted Sadie's nails. She was so excited about the Curler's... she just kept looking in the mirror and saying... "Oh, don't I look beautiful!"
I was a little worried she wouldn't sleep well with them in, but she slept great and she said they were "Nice and Cozy."
She is already begging me to do them again... I may have started something that will come back to bite me!
Sadie did a great job in her program. For the most part she sat very reverently except for the two times she quietly yelled for Mommy and Nan. She also kept everyone entertained with her MANY faces.... does that suprize anyone?!
She did her part all by herself and spoke very clearly so we could understand. She sang parts of most of the songs, but did an especially great job signing "Families Can be Together Forever"
It ended up being a great weekend!
