Viva Las Vegas!

Since we hadn't been anywhere for a while we decided it was time for a quick family vacation before the holidays started. So we headed to Vegas for a couple of days. We had a lot of fun! It was wonderful to get away and spend some quality time as a family! The kids were GREAT travelers! We couldn't have asked for better. On the way home Easton didn't even get out of his car seat the entire way home! He never complained or anything! We left dark and early on Wednesday morning and then we met Gigi and Grandpa in St. George for Lunch at the pizza factory. It was a perfect way to break up the drive.

We ate at the Pizza Factory and then played in this antique fire truck outside.

There is a little walkway and a stream going through the area so we stretched our legs before lunch.

And took some time to pose with the chef!

After lunch our tummies were full and Easton spent the rest of the trip like this....

Sadie spent it playing with Daddy's ITouch.... one of her favorite things to do.

We arrived in Las Vegas at about 3:30, just in time to check in. We stayed at Circus Circus because we got a great deal on our room. I was a little worried about what it would look like when we got there, but it was nice and clean. The kids had fun exploring there new house for the week and checking out all the drawers and crevices.

Then we decided to check out the hotel. Circus Circus was the perfect place to stay with the kids. It was definitely more kid friendly and less busy. We had fun playing all the games in the "carnival room" It was actually a pretty good deal. The games were $1 to $2 a piece and the kids won a stuffed animal every time they played. So we came home with four or five stuffed animals for each of them. They also liked the circus acts. There were some pretty excited shows, that were really fun to see and nice because they weren't too long. We saw a group of balancing acrobats, trapeze artists, and a contortionist.

Obviously, we also found SpongeBob!

Easton liked the giant Motorcycle outside the Harley Davidson Cafe.

We visited the M & M factory and had a lot of fun looking at all the Cute stuff!

Easton's favorite was of course the Race Car!

We took time to pose with the stars before the show!

Then we watched the 3--D Movie. It was cute, but the glasses made Andy and I see a little funny for a few minutes after!

On Thursday night Sadie and I went to "V, The Ultimate Variety Show" It was a lot of fun to have a Girl's night and Sadie was great. She liked the "princess" that did an act balancing like 4 hula hoops.

Afterward, we all walked over to see the Fountains at the Bellagio...

The next day we went and saw the Statues at Ceaser's Palace.

The kids each got $20 to spend on our trip and they both decided to save it to spend at the "big" Toy store, FEO Schwartz. The kids had a blast looking at everything, trying to decide what they wanted. Easton decided to get a package of Cars. Which he played with for the ENTIRE rest of our trip. All Andy heard was, "Daddy, pay Cars me, Pease?"
Sadie had a little bit harder time deciding what she wanted. We had to line up all the barbies so she could decide. The sales lady was really cute and was helping Sadie decide which one to get... she had gotten the idea of how much she had to spend and suggested Sadie get two barbies instead of one. (Cheaper ones) She was so excited when I told her that was okay. She ran up to Andy and said, "The magic lady helped me get two barbies Daddy!"

The kids liked seeing the baby lions at the MGM, but Easton was a little disappointed when we wouldn't let him take one home with him.

In the afternoon we came back to the hotel and let the kids swim... probably there favorite part of the trip! Sadie made friends with a cute little girl named Ashley that was from Australia.

We spent a little time relaxing and taking naps in the room... Easton found other ways to keep himself busy!

Our last day in Vegas we headed away from the strip to see the Vegas Temple. It was closed because of Conference, but it was still beautiful and a wonderful change from the craziness of the strip!

We pretty much wore the kids out everyday! We used the GPS to help us get around and Easton was hilarious with it! One way we could tell he was asleep in the car was because we didn't hear him saying... "Daddy, turn Left...... or "Daddy turn Right!" He seriously copied everything the GPS said!

Easton spent a lot of the trip on Daddy's shoulders. There was one point when both the kids were tired of walking, so we were walking through the casinos with Sadie on Andy's shoulders, Easton in his arms and me tagging along pregnant. People were all looking and laughing... It was pretty funny!

Sadie LOVED the mermaid show. The aquarium was amazing and the "mermaids" were great with the kids. We stayed long enough to watch two different shows and Sadie still cried when we had to leave. She wanted to see all the Mermaids friends and see there houses. Next to the mermaid show was a Bass Pro Shop. Easton loved that! He had so much fun seeing all the animals. He loved the Giant Giraffe and the elk. In fact, he threw a fit because we made him wait to go in until the mermaid show was done. Little stinker....

One day when we were walking on the strip we passed a guy passing out tickets to go "clubbing" He was asking everyone if they were going clubbing... then he came to us and said... "No clubbing here... this is a family event."

We had a great time together and were so glad we went...

After the craziness of Vegas it was nice to come home to the peacefulness of Utah. We loved our vacation... but we love our home!
