Sadie's Christmas Program

Sadie's preschool Christmas program was great this year. The kids all sang some really cute songs, including The Christmas Angel band, were they got to use musical instruments.... how Ms. Janet stayed sane practicing that.... I'll never know! The sang a LOT of really cute Christmas songs..... but, Sadie's favorite, which we heard over and over and over again was "Oh, Christmas Tree" Mind you, she only remembers the first two lines, and she sings it in a very high falceto voice, let me just say it will bring a smile to just about anyone's face! ...... Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, How evergreen your branches..... By the time Christmas rolled around she did catch on to a few more lines of the song, so we'll see how much she remembers for next year.

My favorite part of the program was that the kids got to act out the nativity. Ms. Aunt Janet says that when you have preschool at your house you get special priviledges like that at school... I'm glad you do! Sadie got to play the part of Mary and was VERY excited about it. She even insisted on taking her own costume to school, eventhough Ms. Janet already had some. She practiced her part very dilligently and did a great job saying it loud and clearly.... "I am Mary, Baby Jesus' Mother. I love Him like no other." I also had to giggle as they were putting on the play because once Sadie had her part done and was sitting by Baby Jesus, she felt the need to instruct a few of the other kids on there parts..... whispering..... "Hey, remember.... Sheppards aren't supposed to sit down..." If you have seen my christmas dance recital home video, you will know why this is so funny..... the spitting image of her mother...... I'm not saying I'm proud of the fact that I was a little bossy pants, just stating the facts.
