Conference Weekend....

For Conference weekend we decided we needed to get-away... so we packed up the car and headed to the cabin.
There isn't a T.V. at the cabin, but we were able to listen to conference on the radio.

Just as we got to the mouth of the canyon Sadie said, "Oh, NO!" Andy and I both looked at her and said, "What?" She responded by telling us that we forgot the cabin keys. I looked at Andy, just as he got a smile on his face. He had forgotten the keys and if it hadn't of been for Sadie, we probably would have gotten all the way to the cabin (where there is no cell reception) before we noticed. That became a great teaching moment for us to explain to Sadie that she had heard a prompting from the Holy Ghost. She really didn't know wether we had the keys or not, and normally would not have cared. We told her we were very proud of her and were glad for the teaching opportunity.

We called Grandpa and he was sweet enough to meet us at the cabin with the keys.. .however, it was going to be an hour or two before he would make it... so we took a detour and went and saw Cascade Springs.

Cascade Springs is AMAZING in the winter. It is a lot of fun to snowmobile to, but Andy and I hadn't been in the fall. So, we decided there was no time like the present.

It is beautiful in the Fall too! We walked around the board walk, looked at the scenery, and snapped a few pictures.

Oh, and Andy was his usual, hilarious self.... pretending to drop Tucker head first into the springs.... aka.. leting him touch the water. Tucker thought it was hilarious... but I'm not sure the few onlookers thought so. ;)

The drive was beautiful... the leaves were amazing!

We parked outside the gate and hiked in to see if Grandpa had made it yet.

He did! Him and Stan were there with the cabin all unlocked and ready to go.

We had a picnic lunch at Cascade Springs... or rather in the car on the way back from Cascade springs. So we were all ready for dessert when we got to the cabin. We pulled out the marshmellows and the roasting sticks and went to work.

We also watched home videos on Friday night. The kids had a lot of fun watching videos of themselves and seeing movies of where Abuelito lived. I was just amazed at how BIG my kids are getting!

Saturday morning we got up, had breakfast, and starting putting the kids conference books together.

Daddy brought along the baby gate; which worked magnificently at keeping the kids downstairs!

Listening to conference!
