Ward Halloween Party and more....

Last year our Elder's Quorum put on an AWESOME Halloween party, this year the YW and YM sponsored the event. They did a little Halloween Carnival for the kids at the Church. The kids got to go around from booth to booth and have all kinds of fun. They had pumpkin bowling, face painting, slime making, cupcake walk, doughnuts on a string, pin the face on the Jack-o-lantern, and they even got to throw sponges at the bishopric. The kids had a lot of fun! In my usual, good sporting fashion I dressed up. I went as a little girl, which Sadie informed me was pretty silly. Of course, when we got there I was one of the only adults in costume... except for those hosting the event! Oh, well.... my kids can never say I'm not a good sport!

On an unrelated side note......

Sadie has really enjoyed her teacher this year. She has Miss Nelson for first grade. We were a little apprehensive, because we had heard she was pretty strict... but, we have been very pleased so far and Sadie has learned a lot!

These are a few pictures that Sadie drew for her teacher... contrary to what you might think, the picture above does not have chicken pox... just freckles. ;) This is the picture that Sadie ended up giving her teacher, because the one below was lovingly confiscated.

The above picture is the front..... it is a picture of a king and queen holding balloons that I'm pretty sure, are human heads! hehehe.
But. the best part is the back......

Translation: For good luck, if you are good for getting you a husband.

Miss Nelson isn't married... and Sadie obviously feels like she should be. We had a talk about how nice it was to want to help her teacher, but that maybe she didn't want to be married... and that was okay. So, we brainstormed a few other ways she could help her teacher... which luckily she was satisfied with.

Such a sweet, funny girl!
