Sadie: Daddy, are cowboys good at finding sheep?
Daddy: Yes, Sadie they are.
Sadie: Well, I'm a Cowgirl then, because I'm good at finding sheep too.
We stopped to do some exploring in a little meadow were Sadie found a bird feather and Easton found a stick that he was quite pleased with. Sadie was very excited when Daddy suggested we name the meadow, Sadie's Meadow. When Nan and pa got to East Canyon she was so excited to show them were Sadie's Meadow was!
Daddy picked us all a pretty yellow wildflower and we had a fun little picnic by the river/stream.
When we got back we got our suits on and went swimming. The water was a little chilly at first, but it was comfortable once you were in for a while. Sadie was very excited to show Daddy everything she had learned at swimming lessons and Easton was very excited to be able to swim without Mommy having to hold on to him!
Easton had a lot of fun playing with his trucks and Sadie was very excited to get to play with Daddy's Itouch while we waited for Nan and Pa to arrive.
On Saturday we had a lot of fun With Nan and Pa and Papa and Grandma. We went on a rhino ride and then we went fishing. The kids had a lot of fun.... Sadie wasn't too sure about the fish floundering around, but once they were still she thought they were pretty cool. She was very excited to "stir" the fishing pole.
While Pa was cleaning the fish....
Sadie: Pa, be careful not to hurt the fish.
Pa: Don't worry I won't hurt them.
Sadie: Oh yeah. They're dead.
So blunt.....
After we had cake and Ice Cream to celebrate Pa's birthday we headed home.
It was a fun start to our long weekend!
