Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day we decided to head to the cabin to celebrate the long weekend. We headed up on Friday morning and came home Monday afternoon.

We had a great time! It was wonderful to "unplug" and get away from all of the distractions of everyday life. Michelle, Heather and Autumn joined us on Friday. Sadie and Easton were both excited to spend some time with Autumn... I'm not sure she was as excited, but she was a GREAT sport. She is such a good baby, we are glad she was able to come with us!

The rest of the family came up on Sunday afternoon and Grandpa and Grandma Moosman came up on Monday morning.
Andy and I were able to spend some time outside visiting with Grandpa, Grandma, and Grandpa which was really nice.
The Bohn's came up on Sunday evening and the we were all glad they did!.... especially the kids!
They brought some Gigantic Marshmellows with them, everyone was pretty impressed!
We did quite a bit of hiking while we were there. We hiked to the reservior a couple of times. Tudker liked riding in the backpack and it felt great to get some fresh air and excericise.
On the way back from one of our hikes with the Bohn's Sadie suddenly decided she had a hurt hand. Berlynn was so cute to show her some attention... which as you can imagine led to even more drama. Then Berlynn's ended up with a broken leg. She is quite the little actress, she even managed to drag herself from the cabin to the fire pit without walking. The two of them were pretty hilarious!

Easton had fun with Uncle Peter and Aunt Kym. He even talked uncle peter into giving him a rocket ship ride down one of the steeper parts of the hike.

We ate lots of yummy food. Including camp fire roasted hot dogs... Yummy!

We bought the kids some cute swings while we were in Cancun a while ago.... Sadie has pretty much already out grown hers..... she sat in it anyway. Tucker enjoyed them for awhile.

As always we walked to the Granite Rock a few times.... and captured some Kodak moments.

On one of our hikes Easton said, "look, a rabbit." None of us really paid much attention, until we realized that he really did see one.

Tucker took advantage of our walks for some quality zzzz's.

Easton did pretty well on most our hikes, but one time he got a little tired..... Daddy is a VERY good sport.
We had fun throwing rocks into the reservoir.
Daddy got creative with a big log. He stacked rocks on it, pushed it out into the lake, and then they took turns trying to knock them off.

Aunt Heather, Autumn, Tucker and I found some "soft" rocks to watch on.

Easton had to stop and pick up EVERY stick that he found.

Two very cute babies.

What a wonderful weekend... Thanks everyone for for a great time!
