Easter!!!

At our house this year the Easter bunny decided to go minimalistic (is that a word?) Since we had an Easter hunt with the "big" Gale family, with Gigi & Grandpa, and with Nan & Pa.... the kids were pretty much rollin' in the loot. So, instead the Easter bunny left each kid an reusable activity book and a coloring/paint book. He also left some fish! Sadie has been driving us crazy wanting a pet. She keeps saying, "Mommy, let's go to the pet store and I can pick out a cat and a leash, and a dog, and a dog leash, and doggie sleeping bags, and kitty clothes....." let me assure you the list goes on and on. I was able to hold her off by using the good old, "we'll get a pet when your older." I was very careful not to specify when older was! So... after all of that we were feeling a little guilty about having a petless family. Not guilty enough to buy a dog or cat.... we can still visit all our family to get that fix.

The kids loved the fish. They both tell the fish they love them... give the bowl kisses and inform them on where they are going and when they will be back! It really is pretty cute! Now the trick is just keeping the fish alive!

On Saturday, we spent the day with the Moosman's. Gigi put together her annual "Hunt" which was centered all around China this year. I will post more pictures on this a little later... but, it was a lot of fun and we ended up having a yummy dinner at China Platter. Thanks Grandpa and Gigi!

On Sunday we went to Nan & Pa's house. It was a pretty quiet day, since Uncle Brad and Aunt Lindy were with the Gubler's (we missed ya!) it was just us and Nan and Pa. The kids had so much fun on their Easter hunt that they found all the eggs and then had Pa hide them all again. Then, they hid the eggs for Daddy and Pa to find. Sadie was very clever digging holes in the Sandbox and burying her eggs... Easton was very clever following behind her digging them up! What can I say.... Team Work! It was a nice day with great company!
